Last week I got the chance to sit down with a teaching Pastor at Blackhawk Church, Chris Dolson. Chris has been at Blackhawk church for more than 25 years while the church grew from 300 people to over 3,000, making it the largest church in the Madison, WI area.

In this episode we talk about how Chris came to faith in Christ at Indiana State University and how a Christian mentor encouraged him to go to seminary. In seminary at Dallas Theological Seminary, Chris started his first pastoring job at a church in Louisiana.

In 1994 Chris and his wife moved to Madison, WI and started working at Blackhawk Church. Over the next several decades the church grew by the thousands. In that time, Chris met a guy named Tim Mackie who went on to start the Bible Project.
